Trey - 20 months & our date

Trey turned 20 months on the 13th... wow!  That means only 2 more months until the baby arrives and only 4 months until he's 2!  This boy is definitely a water bug.  He loves to splash, put his face in the water, and fill & unfill cups.  He also laid on his back a week ago in the bathtub, which scared Gia to the point of tears but was really cool because he started to float (I had my hand under his head all the time, by the way).  Thankfully, Nana and Papa got the kids an outside pool, so they've been able to enjoy swimming more!

He probably still weighs around 29 lbs, but I can tell he has slimmed down in the past month.  He's gotten a little taller, but I don't know how much, and he's in size 6 shoes (still in size 4 diapers, but I think 5s are right around the corner).  Trey knows when he goes "pee-pee or poo-poo," but I'm not fighting to potty train him yet.  I'm okay changing 5 diapers a day and don't want to hold him up to the potty yet.  We're not in a hurry :)
Trey can now jump.  He can go straight up, or he can jump forward (sometimes he lands on his bottom, ha ha).  His favorite color is yellow and he points out yellow things everywhere, and he's definitely perfected all of his other colors as well.  He can count to 10 if we help him remember the number 7, and he's beginning to recognize his alphabet.  He repeats everything, and he uses a lot of 2-word sentences and some 3-word sentences.  He still loves his milk in the morning, and gets really grumpy if it's not ready right away (I've spoiled him).
Trey loves to help us throw things in the trash and is pretty compliment when asked to pick things up.  His attitude has gotten SO MUCH better over the past few months to the point where he no longer has "bad days."  He has his moments (usually when he's hungry), but I think our discipline and his growth of understanding have really matured him.  He has come into the "tackling" stage, which Gia is learning to tolerate.  God knew what He was doing by giving us another boy because Trey's going to need a wrestling buddy!
We're a little over 2 months away from adding a baby to the family, but Trey still has no idea what's coming.  He does still love babies, though, so hopefully he'll like his little baby brother.
He has a bad habit of dropping food off his tray.  It drives me crazy, and he knows he shouldn't do it, but does it when he gets full.  At least we have Nola to clean up after him (although I sometimes make him get down and pick up the food).
He loves pancakes, mac and cheese, popsicles, broccoli, cooked carrots and humus, milk, and SMOOTHIES!  He loves his smoothies!  We've been making them almost everyday, and he drinks them down and asks for more.  He calls them "noomies."  So cute!

I tried to get a mini photo shoot with the kids last Sunday, but it only semi-worked.  Here's the best ones I got.

This is how they really felt about taking pictures that day, even though I was bribing them with M&Ms.

This is the face I got when I asked Trey to say, "cheese."  He's said it, but with this face.

Trey and I also had our date last Friday (the 10th) where we went to our local splash pad and then out for ice cream.  He had a lot of fun and did really well with the other kids (he also did really well with his first ice cream cone!)

When I told him he could eat the cone, too, he went straight for the side of it.  Made for a messy experience, but cute picture!

4th of July 2015

Just some pictures from our 4th of July celebrations :)

Our "family" picture while Trey was napping...

...and our family picture when he woke up.

We ate homemade ice cream!

Janna turned on the sprinklers for the kids, and they had such a blast!

Happy 4th of July!

27 weeks along with #3

On Monday I was 27 weeks along in pregnancy #3... into the 3rd trimester already!  I feel really good other than swollen ankles (or rather, legs), some back pain (which Bobby works out by rubbing the knots) and wishing I could sleep on my back again.  He moves a lot but isn't crazy, and according to my appointment this past week he is measuring normally and looking good!  We can never get a good picture because my kids go head down and in early on, but that's okay because it makes it more of a surprise on the day of delivery.  We did get some pictures of his face at the "big" ultrasound, and he just might look like me :)  In other news, I haven't heard back from the doctor's office about my glucose test, so I'm guessing I don't have gestational diabetes, which for some reason I was worried about this time.  I think I've had some friends get it, who I would have never thought would have had any trouble with it, and it made me a little more nervous this time.

I'm definitely bigger this time around than I was with my other two.  Gia, of course, was my first and smaller, so I was not nearly this round with her.  He's about the same as Trey at this point, but I feel bigger.  I'm definitely more swollen with this one!  With Gia I didn't swell until about 2 days before delivery.  With Trey, I think it was about a month before delivery.  This time, it started a week ago and hasn't let up!  It probably has to do with how hot it's been here for the past couple weeks and the fact that I don't put my feet up except when I sleep.  The good news about having swollen ankles though is that it's much easier to shave now!

This is me at 27 1/2 weeks.

We're getting excited to meet him!  And I think that Trey is really going to enjoy having a buddy to wrestle with... Gia can only take so much of it :)
