Trey - 3 months!

This past month has seemed to go faster than the first two, although Bobby says it's gone slower.  He is such a terrific baby, I can't say enough about his laid back personality and sweet demeanor.  He loves his Daddy, and he is definitely Mama's baby boy.  It seems that lately I'm the only one who can get Trey to sleep without a fight, which melts my heart but will make the next few days hard since I'm having gallbaldder surgery!  I swaddle him, hold him close and sing "This Little Light of Mine."

Here are some things from this past month:

At his 2 1/2 month check up, Trey was 14 lbs (90%), 24 inches (75%) and his head was in the 75%.  Our big boy!

Size 3 diapers, wearing 6 month clothes.

Reading stories with Daddy and Uncle Josh

He started laughing on Saturday, February 8th.  On Friday he laughed in his sleep while nursing, but on Saturday he laughed for real while I was giving him a bath.  Now his favorite thing to laugh at is us when we play peek-a-boo with him as he's sitting in his bouncy seat.

Still nursing every 2 1/2 hours, but hopefully that will change in the next month.

He now reaches up and grabs at things intentionally, holding on to them and pulling on them.

Trey has gotten more smiley and very talkative.

He LOVES the TV.  That little stinker will completely maneuver and strain his head so that he can see it.  Definitely takes after me.

He sleeps 10 hours through the night, but only takes 20-30 minute cat naps after each "awake time."  It makes it  tricky for me to clean or get things done during the day, but I'm grateful to be rested each morning.

We are just now getting him to bed before 12am.  Tonight he went down at 11pm!  But he sleeps until 9:30-10am, so we just put Gia to bed late and she gets up late... now I get why the Duggars are on this schedule.

He is super laid back and cuddly.  He loves to be held and snuggle on our shoulders.  I can't wait until he's bigger and can cuddle in my lap while I read him stories.

Josh changing Trey's diaper, ha ha!

And just for fun, Gia with her "squinty eye" pose while eating M&Ms.

He's always been really good about not scratching himself, but he's been doing it more in the past couple weeks.  He also has some tear-duct issues with his eye, but it should resolve itself by 6-9 months.

Big sister Gia continues to be fantastic with Trey.  She loves him, is hardly ever jealous, and never takes her jealously out on Trey (she tends to get a bit fussy and just needs to be held for a while).  She just amazes me.  I'm so proud of her.  She is so cute when she talks to him, calling him "handsome" and "buddy" like we do, and telling him, "it's okay, Trey" in a concerned voice when he cries.  And she's such a  great helper!

I love my kids and am completely bias in thinking that they are the greatest things ever.  I can't believe how big Trey is, and I'm so thankful that he's a healthy & easy baby.  Keep on growing, little man!
