Airplane Date!

Today is Friday, our weekly date-days.  Bobby and Gia went fishing again, and I took Trey to the Air Force Museum because he LOVES airplanes.  I mean, even when there isn't a plane in the sky, he points and says, "airplane?"  Take this picture, for example.  All we had to say to get him to point was, "Trey, where's the airplane?"

Bobby made him laugh a moment later, and he covered his mouth because he thought it was so funny.  Love this kid!

First, we went to Einstein's Bagels for breakfast (I had a coupon), and he ate more of my muffin than the bagel bites.

Trey makes a great fish face, so we did that for a while :)  Makes me think of my friend, Kristi.

Once we were at the museum, Trey just wanted to ride in the stroller for a while and look at the planes.  He would call out the different colors that he saw, but mostly he just quietly took it all it.  This was a different response than what I expected... I thought he would be hyper and run all around, but instead he was contemplative.

Trey was fascinated with the guy doing repairs on one of the planes.  He just wanted to sit and watch him for a good 5 minutes.

There is also an inside museum, and Trey liked it pretty well.  His favorite part were the colored planes... the red "Mustang" was a big hit.

We went back outside, and this time he wanted to get down and walk around.

Although he loved the planes, his most favorite part of our date was playing in the rocks.  He just sat down and played in the rocks for a long time!  He also had to get back in the stroller because he wouldn't stop throwing them.

We had a great time at the aviation museum!  It's close by and free, so I have a feeling that we'll be going back a lot over the next few years!

Summer Bubbles

My kids love bubbles.  Gia is a pro at blowing them and Trey has gotten good at it as well.  It's been one of their favorite things to do this summer.

The kids like to blow bubbles and have me pop them, or they try to catch them back on their bubble wands.

Trey always wants to hold his own container of them, but after about 15 minutes, he ends up dumping out the rest of them onto the ground and playing in the puddle (so, of course, we buy the cheap bubbles!).  After he dumps them out, he has to dunk his wand into a container that someone else is holding.  Thankfully, he has the best big sister in the world and she doesn't mind sharing with him at all :)

The bubbles often make Trey laugh :)
