Pumpkin Patch with our Mom's Group

Every Thursday our Mom's group from our church gets together, usually at a park, but this week we went to Black Island Farms pumpkin patch.  Our day was fun but of course, as it always happens with two kids, things didn't go exactly as planned.  Trey ended up having a stomach bug and threw up twice while we were there, and Gia was fussy because I had to wake her up early to get there.

We went on a "hayride," which I would just call a tractor ride because there was no hay.  It was packed full of school kids, so we had to split our group up into two different tractors.  They took us out to where the pumpkins were, and along the way stopped to talk to us about the different veggies that are grown on the farm.  I had a carrot, but one of the school kids stole it when we got off the tractor to get our pumpkins!  Stinker.

Gia and Trey got a small pumpkin, fresh off the vine, and then we went back to the main area and had a picnic lunch.  Of course, once we got off the hayride, Trey threw up and I had to change his clothes and clean him up, but we had driven with someone else and couldn't go back home yet.  Bobby ended up coming to get us so that we wouldn't make any other kids sick on the drive home, but Gia did get a chance to go down the slide and play with her friends before we left.

 Gia found a good pumpkin!

Trey was unhappy the whole time... this was before I realized he was sick.

Our picnic lunch... where Trey threw up again!
